Addressing the planetary emergency requires transforming the current extractivist food system.
The documentary accompanies a new food hub under development in Berlin, that has the potential to be a centrepiece of the necessary social-ecological food system transformation. Food from organic, regional and regenerative agriculture is brought directly to the city through a community-supported model. The food is delivered to a food hub, where it is cooked and enjoyed together in a neighbourly community, urbanites and farmers together at a table. A group of young scientists measure the social and ecological impacts and benefits of the new equitable and sustainable food system and work at scaling it to both mitigate and adapt to climate change.
