Seeds of Change – Documentary

Addressing the planetary emergency requires transforming the current extractivist food system.
The documentary accompanies a new food hub under development in Berlin, that has the potential to be a centrepiece of the necessary social-ecological transformation. Food from organic, regional and regenerative farming is brought directly to the city through a community-supported agriculture model. The food is delivered to and picked up from the food hub, where it can also be processed, cooked and enjoyed together in a neighbourly community, where farmers sit at the table with urbanites.
A group of young scientists measures the social and ecological impacts and benefits of the new equitable and sustainable food system and tries to figure out how to scale it in the little time remaining to both mitigate and adapt to climate change.
