BIO
Jana Papenbroock is an Iranian-German filmmaker, videographer & writer who grew up in New York, studied art & film in Paris, Hamburg & Cologne and is currently based in Berlin. Her works have been shown in galleries around the world like the Artist Television Space (San Francisco), Nikolaj Kunsthal (Copenhagen), NRW-Forum (Düsseldorf), Echo Park Film Center (Los Angeles), the European Parliament in Brussels and international film festivals in Rome, Glasgow, Yerevan, Hamburg & Vienna. She has worked as a publisher, editor & writer for artist publications & especially enjoys collaborating with other artists, like Scott Cazan, Timo Klöppel, Julia Holter, The Shlumpers (a Hamburg based atelier community of artists with disabilities), Yann Apperry & many more.
