A short documentary on the establishment of an urban food hub in the neighborhood of Berlin-Wedding.
Food hubs (LebensMittelPunkte) are decentrally organized spaces where organic regional food is distributed, processed and consumed amongst neighbors through all social classes. They are an attempt at reducing CO2-emissions, sustaining soil and biodiversity, countering industrial agriculture with regenerative farming and community-supported agriculture (CSA model) as well as fostering a diverse community and solidarity in disadvantaged neighborhoods with limited access to healthy food.
